According to The Verge, Matter's latest update, version 1.6, introduces Joint Fabric—a feature that finally lets multiple smart home ecosystems share a single Matter network. Instead of keeping devices in separate silos, Apple Home, Google Home, and Amazon Alexa can now all control the same devices, provided users authorize them. It's the interoperability that the smart home standard promised from the start.
