More significantly, this edition marks the first held under the formal recognition of the International Federation of Film Producers, elevating animation's status in the global film landscape and anchoring Annecy as a Class A festival. The opening film, 'Minions & Monsters,' sets the tone as animation continues its evolution from niche medium to entertainment mainstream.
