Mexico has ended a four-decade drought at the World Cup. With goals from Julián Quiñones and Raúl Jiménez, El Tri defeated Ecuador two-nil to reach the last sixteen. According to France 24, it's their first knockout-stage victory since nineteen eighty-six, when they hosted the tournament.
