BET is reviving ComicView, its classic stand-up series, in a new format called Rooftop Series. Hosted by comedian Chris Powell, the ten-episode revival launches June thirtieth at nine-thirty PM Eastern. Each episode features three comedians performing from a Hollywood rooftop venue. According to Variety, the network is stepping back into its comedy roots with this outdoor take on the beloved program.
