NASA Roman Space Telescope: Second Stage Fueling at 6:51 a.m. EDT

NASA Science reports that SpaceX has confirmed second-stage fueling is underway for the Falcon Heavy rocket carrying the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. The telescope is encapsulated and standing vertical at Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. The rocket's first stage combines three Falcon 9-derived cores with 27 Merlin engines, and after they separate, a single Merlin Vacuum engine will continue the journey. One side booster is making its first flight, while the other has supported two previous missions. Launch remains on track for no earlier than 7:26 a.m. Eastern.
