NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is moving closer to launch, with liquid oxygen loading now underway for the second stage of its SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. As NASA Science tells it, the spacecraft is currently standing vertical at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Once in orbit, the telescope will act as a wide-angle survey machine, mapping the Milky Way and identifying distant galaxies for the James Webb Space Telescope to study in greater detail.
