According to Canary Media, the startup Eavor Technologies has reached a major milestone in renewable energy. Its first closed-loop geothermal system—a novel approach that circulates fluid through engineered bedrock without traditional wells—has begun feeding electricity to Germany's grid. The company is planning four total loops at the site and expects construction on a second unit to begin this year, marking a significant step toward commercially viable closed-loop geothermal, despite some early setbacks.
