Dozens evacuated from Grand Canyon after flash flood hits creek leading to the Colorado River

Flash flooding along a creek feeding the Colorado River has forced the evacuation of dozens of people from the Grand Canyon, Channel NewsAsia reports. More than twenty people may be missing, according to the outlet, with a National Weather Service meteorologist noting that much of the water runoff happened almost instantly. The Grand Canyon's narrow side canyons are especially prone to sudden, fast-moving flash floods during storm season.
