South Africa has sentenced two men in what police describe as the world's largest rhino trafficking case. According to The Guardian, Dawie Groenewald and Tielman Erasmus faced over 1,700 charges—from poaching to money laundering and racketeering. Groenewald, the alleged mastermind, received a four-year sentence or 2 million-rand fine. The conviction brings closure to nearly 16 years of legal proceedings, marking a major victory for African wildlife crime prosecution.
