NASA is strengthening its Earth observation capabilities by partnering with commercial satellite companies. The agency has selected eight new contractors and will acquire new data from six existing partners. According to NASA, these relationships supplement the agency's own satellites with high-resolution, frequent observations—giving researchers, civil agencies, and policymakers richer data to monitor and understand our planet.
