SaaStr has spent the last six months running its Salesforce CRM in a headless configuration, meaning the company has largely abandoned the traditional user interface in favor of an AI-driven layer. As SaaStr tells it, they built a custom agent using Claude to interact with the CRM via API, allowing them to integrate financial and marketing data into a single "meta CRM" that can answer complex cross-platform questions. While the company's Salesforce bill has increased by forty percent due to a ten-fold jump in data usage, the team says the ability to use different interfaces based on individual needs makes the system infinitely better.
