EFF Thanks SerpApi For Helping Us Protect Free Speech Online
politics
The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a prominent digital rights organization, thanked SerpApi for supporting its free speech advocacy. Since twenty eighteen, the search data company has donated annually to fund EFF's legal and policy work. According to the organization, that support has enabled critical victories: a lawsuit blocking the Department of Homeland Security's social media surveillance program; the Santa Clara Principles, a framework to curtail excessive content moderation by tech platforms; research exposing how YouTube's Content ID system silences creators while protecting major copyright holders; ongoing defense of Section two thirty, the law protecting online platforms from liability; and support for whistleblowers and dissidents persecuted for their online speech. As both governments and tech companies increasingly target free expression, EFF says donor support like SerpApi's remains vital to defending digital rights globally.
