Chelsea sign Italy defender Palestra for £47m

Italian right-back Marco Palestra, twenty-one, has joined Chelsea for forty-seven million pounds. According to BBC News, he becomes Xabi Alonso's first signing as the club's new manager. The defender will strengthen Chelsea's defence as Alonso begins his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
