Is Someone Hacking DoD Refrigerators?

Schneier on Security reports that refrigerator outages have hit multiple Department of Defense sites, including Fort Irwin in California, F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming, Fort Huachuca in Arizona, Naval Station Newport in Rhode Island, Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi, and Travis Air Force Base in California. The writer M. Elizabeth noted a similar outage at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California. Pentagon officials declined to comment on the scale of the problem, while an unnamed defense source said the department is aware of a possible refrigeration disruption at some commissaries. At this point the cause remains speculative.
