According to France 24, Israel's military struck targets throughout southern Lebanon overnight as Hezbollah reported intense fighting in the region. The escalation threatens a nascent agreement between Iran and the United States to end their war. While Israel and Hezbollah aren't parties to the deal, Iran is demanding Israel withdraw from southern Lebanon.
