NSW top prosecutor Sally Dowling and state attorney general discussed which barristers could review her office, estimates hears

The Guardian reports that Sally Dowling, the director of public prosecutions in New South Wales, told budget estimates she and Attorney General Michael Daley discussed a shortlist of senior counsel to lead an independent review of the controversial findings against her office. The review follows a parliamentary committee’s narrow vote that Dowling gave false evidence about a story concerning an Indigenous child’s acknowledgement of country at a sentencing hearing.
