Achraf Hakimi, captain of Morocco's national team and Paris Saint-Germain defender, will stand trial in France on a rape charge. According to France 24, a Paris appeals court rejected his appeal this week, clearing the way for criminal proceedings. Hakimi was first accused in twenty twenty-three by a then twenty-four-year-old woman. An investigative judge ruled in February that evidence warranted moving to trial.
