Canadian aerospace manufacturer MDA Space is acquiring smallsat builder Blue Canyon Technologies for six hundred twenty million dollars, according to SpaceNews. The deal expands MDA's access to the U.S. government market, where Blue Canyon has established expertise in defense and intelligence programs, including DARPA's Blackjack project. Blue Canyon's compact satellite buses serve military and research missions.
