‘Leviticus’: How the Romantic Horror Movie Was Inspired by a ‘Regression’ of Gay Rights

According to Variety, 'Leviticus' marks writer-director Adrian Chiarella's feature debut, opening in theaters this Friday. Set in Australia, the horror film follows two teen boys who fall in love, only to be pursued by demonic forces after undergoing a dark religious conversion therapy. Chiarella wrote and directed the project from a place of anxiety about what he views as a recent regression in LGBTQ plus rights and acceptance.
