Wendell Berry, US author, farmer and environmentalist, dies aged 92

Wendell Berry, the Kentucky-born author, farmer and environmentalist known for writing that celebrated rural farming communities while warning against the excesses of industrial society, has died at age ninety-two. The Guardian reports his daughter, Mary Berry, confirmed he died at his home in Port Royal, Kentucky, on Monday.
