The World Health Organization warned Friday that an Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo is spreading rapidly despite stepped-up public health efforts. The outbreak began in mid-May and involves the Bundibugyo strain, a particularly dangerous variant because there is currently no vaccine or specific treatment available, according to France 24.
