Paraguay's Almiron sent off for covering mouth in confrontation

According to BBC Sport, Miguel Almiron of Paraguay became the first player to be sent off under new World Cup rules designed to prevent players from covering their mouths during confrontations. In a match against Turkey during the twenty twenty-six World Cup, the Paraguay midfielder was shown a red card for violating the prohibition. Despite playing with ten men, Paraguay won the match. The rule aims to crack down on unsportsmanlike conduct.
