Four people die in mass fan celebrations in Mexico City after World Cup victory

According to The Guardian World, four people died during World Cup celebrations in Mexico City, three of them from suffocation. The deaths occurred near the Angel of Independence landmark, where more than a million fans had gathered to celebrate Mexico's two-nil victory over Ecuador in the last thirty-two. The city's health secretariat confirmed the toll.
