LAMPy: a connected RGB lantern
dev_tools
LAMPy is a new open-source RGB lantern controller from Adafruit, built on MicroPython. It's designed to be hardware-agnostic—the software runs on any ESP32 board, so makers aren't locked into a specific platform.
To build one, you'll need an ESP32 microcontroller, a WS2812 Neopixel LED strip, and a push button. LAMPy provides adjustable brightness with a visual indicator, plus selectable color modes.
For the maker community, this is handy—a battle-tested controller you can customize and deploy without designing from scratch.
