Cirrus is a new personal data server for ATProto—the decentralized protocol powering Bluesky—designed to run on Cloudflare Workers. Rather than storing your social graph on a central platform, Cirrus enables developers to host that data serverlessly. According to the GitHub project, it demonstrates how serverless infrastructure can now handle stateful social networking workloads, opening a path toward self-hosted or community-run alternatives to traditional social networks.
