According to Boing Boing, the oldest surviving film is called Roundhay Garden Scene. French inventor Louis Le Prince filmed his family walking in a garden in Roundhay, Leeds on October fourteenth, eighteen eighty-eight. The entire film runs two seconds. That's all that remains of cinema's first moment.
