This neurological condition makes people deny their own limbs
science
Somatoparaphrenia is a rare neurological condition where people deny that their own limbs or body parts belong to them—even when shown direct evidence. According to Boing Boing, patients don't simply forget the limb is theirs. Instead, they construct elaborate alternative explanations for whose limb it actually is, sometimes becoming convinced they're interacting with a separate being altogether. The condition can affect one limb or an entire side of the body.
