GM: Caps have cap room, roster spot for Ovechkin

Washington Capitals GM Chris Patrick confirmed the team has salary cap space and roster room to bring back captain Alex Ovechkin. In an ESPN interview, Patrick said the Capitals can accommodate the veteran alongside their recent trades and free agent signings.
