Senegal's hottest content creator is making waves across Francophone Africa. According to France 24, Macdi has built a following of nine million on TikTok by posting humorous takes on everyday life. He gained over two million of those followers in just the last three months. His strategic choice: creating in French rather than Wolof, Senegal's local language, gives him access to a vastly wider audience. The gamble has paid off. He's now the most popular Senegalese influencer on the platform.
