Starmer vetoes Tuchel’s day-off-school proposal after 1am match against Mexico

Head coach Thomas Tuchel suggested parents let children skip school to stay up and watch. But Prime Minister Keir Starmer had other ideas: kids are going to school on Monday morning, he said. Education Minister Jacqui Smith even suggested a "disco nap" on Sunday so everyone could be fresh. According to The Guardian World, Tuchel's pitch for a school-free Monday didn't land with the government.
