Zelensky denies Russian capture of key eastern city

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and the General Staff are rejecting Russian claims about territorial gains in the east. According to France 24, Russia's military told President Vladimir Putin on Friday that it had captured Kostiantynivka, a strategically important city the Kremlin has long pursued in the Donetsk region. But Kyiv insists Ukraine still controls it. The competing claims highlight the fog of war — both sides regularly dispute who holds key locations on the battlefield.
