Aardman Animations, the British studio behind Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, is looking ahead at the Annecy Animation Film Festival. The studio's co-founders Peter Lord and David Sproxton, along with director Nick Park, unveiled several new projects: an upcoming Pokemon series, a new LEGO short film, and the launch of Aardman Academy. According to Variety, the announcements come as the studio celebrates more than fifty years of clay animation innovation.
