Richard Gere has signed on to play Bosko, the CIA's London bureau chief, in the Paramount Plus series 'The Agency'—but not before making his mark on the script itself. According to Variety, Gere initially turned down the role, returning it with extensive notes for showrunners Jez and John-Henry Butterworth. The writers obliged, rewriting the part to his specifications. Once satisfied, Gere came aboard. The acclaimed actor describes his character as someone whose presence demands respect: 'When Bosko walks in the room, he's the boss, and everyone has to acknowledge that.' The series also stars Michael Fassbender.
