XBox announces layoffs

According to Boing Boing, Microsoft's Xbox division announced today that it will lay off three thousand two hundred workers and shut down four of its studios, the latest cuts in an ongoing wave of job losses across the game industry. Boing Boing notes that half the layoffs are immediate, with the rest scheduled to come later, and cites an internal email obtained by Kotaku outlining the plans.
