psutil – process and system utilities for Python

According to Adafruit Blog, psutil is a cross-platform Python library that brings system monitoring to Python developers. The utility retrieves real-time data on running processes, CPU and memory usage, disk and network activity, and sensor readings — mimicking Unix command-line tools like ps, top, free, and netstat. It's useful for system monitoring, performance profiling, and process resource management without ever leaving Python.
