Idaho conservation officer beats Trump official's defamation lawsuit

According to Boing Boing, an Idaho court dismissed a defamation lawsuit filed by Trump-appointed federal official Michael Boren against retired conservation officer Gary Gadwa. Gadwa had publicly criticized the environmental impact of Boren's private airstrip. Judge Darren Simpson ruled that Boren failed to show good cause for the lawsuit to proceed — a victory for free speech advocates.
