Show HN: InstantVideos.org – short documentaries in ~30 seconds
ai
According to Hacker News, a developer recently demonstrated that you can generate a short documentary in under thirty seconds using a combination of AI models. The pipeline uses G-L-M five point two to write scripts, feeds those into image generation and text-to-speech narration, then assembles everything with FFmpeg. The economics are striking: roughly twenty-five cents per video, with roughly ninety percent of that cost coming from images alone. Video compilation was the performance bottleneck, but the developer solved it by spinning up a sixty-four virtual C-P-U server. The demonstration suggests that rapid, low-cost video generation for short-form content may soon be commercially viable.
