Female US rower reflects on ‘surreal’ record-breaking journey from California to Hawaii

Thirty-two-year-old Kelsey Pfendler has become the first US woman to row solo across the mid-Pacific from California to Hawaii. According to The Guardian, the Grand Canyon river guide covered twenty-four hundred miles in record time earlier this week. In an interview with ABC's Good Morning America, Pfendler said she hopes her achievement inspires other women to take risks and push their boundaries—and that she'd love to see another woman work even harder and accomplish the same thing.
