Arthur Fery: the Wimbledon wildcard carrying Britain’s hopes
sports
According to The Guardian, British tennis is pinning its hopes on an unlikely name at Wimbledon. Arthur Fery, a twenty-three-year-old wildcard ranked one hundred fourteenth in the world, has emerged as the last British man standing after a rough opening for the home players. On Monday night he stunned Centre Court by defeating Grigor Dimitrov, a former world number three and one of the sport's top players for much of the past decade. Fery says he's determined to keep a level head as he prepares to face Flavio Cobolli on Wednesday.
