Reform UK says it will file to hold a byelection in Clacton for Thursday, August sixth, according to The Guardian. The move follows Nigel Farage's resignation from his seat. Labour Chancellor Rachel Reeves declined a request from Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey to delay the resignation pending a standards inquiry. Most other parties aren't standing, potentially leaving comedian Count Binface as Farage's main challenger.
