Show HN: Arcaide – Explore code with multi-level call graphs
dev_tools
Yesterday on Hacker News, developer Aqula introduced Arcaide, a code navigation tool addressing a perennial problem: traditional call graphs quickly become overwhelming. Arcaide uses multi-level call graphs that let you zoom between different abstraction layers—packages, classes, and functions—similar to architectural diagrams. The tool then feeds these structures to an LLM for semantic analysis: detecting and removing telemetry and trivial code, identifying external interfaces and databases. The result is a unified view of both structural and behavioral aspects of a codebase. As Aqula notes, with AI agents generating increasing amounts of code, maintaining a clear big-picture understanding becomes essential.
