Community solar projects are getting help from an unexpected ally: warehouse logistics companies. According to Canary Media, Prologis, one of the world's largest logistics operators, has opened its Oakland warehouse rooftop—a hundred forty-seven thousand five hundred square feet—to host solar panels. The project highlights how industrial real estate could help solve a critical challenge for community solar expansion: finding enough space to deploy panels without consuming farmland or open space.
