Mexican Government files charges against ICE for murder
politics
According to Boing Boing, the Mexican government has filed murder charges against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The report says at least fifty people have died in the custody of the Department of Homeland Security's ICE. Those deaths are attributed to a lack of care for detainees with chronic conditions like heart disease and diabetes, and, amid what the outlet describes as a striking absence of oversight, to suicides by individuals held under extreme mental duress or living with pre-existing mental health conditions.
