According to Variety, screenwriter and showrunner Mara Brock Akil's Writers' Colony is now accepting residents for two cohorts in twenty twenty-six. The summer session started in June; the fall program launches September second. It's a three-month residency in Los Angeles's West Adams neighborhood, positioned right next to Brock Akil's own production company, story27. The program places emerging television writers in direct creative proximity to a working showrunner's operation.
