The Venice Film Festival has announced its main jury for this year's competition, with Maggie Gyllenhaal presiding as president. The international lineup includes Hong Kong filmmaker Johnnie To, returning to the jury for the first time since two thousand eight; Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania; Afghan filmmaker Shahrbanoo Sadat; and others. According to Variety, the roster brings together accomplished directors from across continents to judge the festival's top prizes.
