Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve chair, has died. According to NPR News, Greenspan was celebrated during his tenure as possibly the greatest central banker in history. But his reputation was significantly tarnished by the financial crisis of two thousand eight, widely attributed to the deregulation and low interest rates that characterized his time in office.
