According to France 24, ballet dancer Kadeem is on a mission to challenge centuries of tradition in classical dance. He's encouraging more men to perform en pointe—the demanding technique of dancing on the tips of the toes, historically the domain of female dancers. To spread his message, Kadeem recently filmed himself dancing in front of Paris's most iconic monuments, turning the city into his stage. Speaking with France 24's Perspective program, Kadeem explains his passion: ballet brings him so much joy that he's determined to share it by opening this classical tradition to more male performers.
