Levi Bellfield to have DNA test in connection with Lin and Megan Russell murders

The Guardian reports that convicted serial killer Levi Bellfield will have his DNA taken as investigators reexamine the 1996 murders of Lin Russell and her six-year-old daughter, Megan. The Criminal Cases Review Commission is testing whether Bellfield was responsible, as part of an inquiry into whether Michael Stone was wrongly convicted of the killings. Stone, found guilty in 1998, has always maintained his innocence. The same attack also gravely wounded Megan's nine-year-old sister, Josie, who survived.
