According to France 24, Vice President JD Vance met with Iran's parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, in Switzerland on June twenty-first and twenty-second. Though the discussions proved challenging at times, Vance described the talks as laying solid groundwork for a final agreement. Despite rocky moments, both sides did reach some agreements. These talks represent a significant diplomatic moment—the first formal engagement between the US and Iran since the Middle East conflict escalated in February.
