According to OpenAI, the company announced this morning Patch the Planet, an initiative designed to help open-source maintainers identify and fix security vulnerabilities using AI-assisted analysis and expert review. The program, part of OpenAI's Daybreak umbrella, tackles a persistent gap in modern software: the under-resourced maintainers of critical community libraries that millions of applications depend on.
